The Douglas County Mosquito Abatement District (DCMAD) acquired the UAS drone in the fall of 2020, after a 4 year search.  With technology changing quickly, we waited to find our perfect drone.

After acquiring "Lary," we created a new aerial larvicide program for mosquito abatement.  The drone will not take the place of using fixed wing aircraft or helicopter applications in larger areas.  Lary will allow us to get into those hard to reach areas with little or no impact on the environment.  We have a licensed 107 Drone Pilot and the Certificate of Authorization (COA) issued by the FAA to distribute by air the larvicide products needed for mosquito abatement.
